A Jurisdictional Determination Must Be Requested From the APA for ANY Projects, (Decks, Docks, Additions, Demolitions, Subdivisions, Ect.) in the Adirondack Park, prior to submitting a building permit . Call 518-891-4050, Ask for the Jurisdictional Inquiry "JIF" Office or online at www.apa.ny.gov. In addition for Projects on Lake George, the LGPC would be included, (Storm Water, Moorings, Docks, Ect.) at https://lgpc.ny.gov/ for more information.
PAUSED -- Effective the 1st of January 2026 all applications for new dwellings are required electric heat and appliances.
